Terms of Service (Vehicle Conversions & Equipment Installation)
1. Scope of WorkLex System provides vehicle conversion, equipment installation, and system integration services for commercial customers including, but not limited to:Vehicle valeting systemsWindow cleaning systemsFleet service vehicle conversionsHigh pressure and jetting vehicle systemsCustom equipment mounting and storage solutionsAll work will be carried out according to the agreed quotation, specification, and build schedule.
2. Customer Vehicle Condition Requirements
Customers must ensure that vehicles presented for work are:

Fully emptied of tools, equipment, stock, and personal items

Clean and safe to work on
-
Structurally sound and roadworthy
Lex System is not responsible for:
-
Loss or damage to items left inside the vehicle
-
Pre-existing damage, faults, or wear and tear
-
Hidden structural or electrical issues discovered during installation
If a vehicle arrives containing items, Lex System reserves the right to delay work and/or charge additional labour.
3. Mechanical & Vehicle System Liability
Lex System installs equipment and mounting systems but does not take responsibility for:

Vehicle engine or drivetrain failures
-
Electrical system failures unrelated to installed equipment
-
Wear and tear or mechanical breakdown
-
Manufacturer defects or recall
Where electrical or mechanical integration is required, this will be carried out professionally, but responsibility for the base vehicle remains with the vehicle owner.
4. Completion & Vehicle Collection Policy
Once the customer is notified that work is complete:

The vehicle must be collected within 24 hours unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Vehicles left beyond 24 hours are stored at the owner’s risk.
Lex System is not responsible for:
-
Flat or discharged vehicle batteries
-
Environmental damage
-
Theft or third-party damage after the collection window
Storage charges may apply after the agreed collection period.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment must be received and cleared before the vehicle leaves the premises.
Vehicles will not be released without cleared payment. Deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered or work has commenced. Lex System reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment is received in full (lien rights where applicable under UK law).
6. Warranty (Workmanship & Installed Components)
Unless otherwise specified:Installation workmanship warranty:

12 months Manufacturer warranties apply to third-party equipment
Warranty does not cover:

Misuse or overloadingPoor maintenance
-
Accidental damage
-
Unauthorised modification
-
Commercial wear outside intended use
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:

Correct operation of installed systems
-
Routine maintenance
-
Ensuring vehicle payload limits are not exceeded

Compliance with road laws and commercial vehicle regulations
8. Changes to Specification:
Changes requested after work begins may:

Affect build timeIncur additional cost
-
Require new parts ordering
-
All variations must be agreed in writing.
9. Force Majeure
Lex System is not liable for delays caused by events outside reasonable control, including:

Supplier delays
-
Transport delays
-
Power outages
-
Extreme weather
-
Labour shortages
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Lex System shall not be liable for:
-
Loss of earnings or business interruption
-
Indirect or consequential loss
-
Loss of vehicle use
Liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
